Optimaster robot guidance system
Abstract
Describes a camera‐based sensor system used for robot guidance systems for application in areas such as small‐batch parts handling, high‐precision assembly and 3D assembly of parts. Outlines the production steps performed by robots from parts handling, depalletization, unloading from conveyors, assembly operating and inspection. Explains how the vision system is fully integrated in the robot and looks at its hardware, software and technical specifications. Concludes that the system is multifunctional and due to its robust construction is suitable for use in hostile industrial environments.
