Tsang has been, since 1986, economics and political science bibliographer and Data Services Librarian at the University of California, Irvine and a former coordinator of the American Library Association’s Task Force on Alternatives in Print. He also serves on the advisory board for the Alternative Press Center. Since 1993, he has hosted “Subversity”, a weekly alternative radio interview program on KUCI that is also Web‐cast (http://go.fast.to/sv). Abstract
To ignore the alternative press is perilous. The Cold War may have ended, but social protest literature abounds, not just on the Web. Grey political left literature deserves more attention as a counterpoint to the misinformation churned out by the corporate media.
